I have been interested in birth most of my life. I think it is a beautiful process that is full of wonderful growth for the birthing family.
I began my training in 2010, and have been working as an assistant or primary midwife ever since. I was very blessed to be trained by wonderful competent midwives who continue to teach and assist me. I have 3 wonderful children of my own, and because I want to give my clients and my children the attention they deserve, I keep my practice fairly small. I trust the birth process. I trust that our bodies know what to do and when to do it. I believe that through careful monitoring and intelligent diagnosis, home birth is safe and a better choice for families who are prepared for it. I was transformed by my first experience at a home birth. My wish is that all my clients feel this way as well when they have delivered their babies, and that with me as their midwife they will feel safe, informed, and capable of delivering a baby at home. I come to your birth with another midwife to assist me, so you know you are in safe hands.
I live in Provo, but I am willing to travel to many areas in Utah. I generally do prenatal visits in your home, and they typically last about an hour. The longer visits allow us to talk about your birth in-depth, discuss fears, learn about comfort measures, and generally learn to trust one another and to communicate effectively together.
Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have. Finding a care provider is an important process, so I'm happy to set up a free consultation. Call, text, or email anytime!
